When this is all over I will..

Having been so late to the High Low Podcast hype, I started listening in October when Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes then announced the end of what I didn't know was a 4 year podcast, and the most listened to female podcast in the country. So, naturally, I went all the way back to 2017 and started from episode 1, I am now on episode 28. However, out of curiosity I skipped forward to their first pandemic podcast, or as they referred to 'Locky D' or 'Panny D' and one of the things they talked about what Dolly's list of things she will do again, or for the first time, when she can.

We are now 11 months down the line and still in this mess, and whilst we had that period over summer where we could do a lot more and we could shop or go get food, even now, since then, it has been a substantial amount of time. So I thought I would compile my very own list of what I will do when this shit show finally closes its curtains. I would like to reiterate that these are all very small and minor things that don't matter in the grand scheme of things and I am coming from a very privileged position for these to be the things I miss and not lost be missing loved ones or a job or anything incredibly substantial. I am also fearful of saying 'goes back to normal' because I am not so sure what the new normal will be. But here is a list of things, I miss, can't wait to do again or am dying to do.

When this is all over I will..

- Go to the cinema, and get not only a Tango Ice Blast and splurge on a pick n mix that I had never been able to afford but now can.

-Wear high heels that make my feet hurt.

-have a drag of someone's fag in the smoking area and remember I HATE smoking

-Sit next to an old lady on the bus and hold a polite conversation.

-Stand next to an old lady waiting for the bus and talk about how the buses are always late.

-Order Zizi's Rustica Primavera Pizza.

-Go to a festival and get absolutely pissed on by the rain and covered in mud and complain about it the whole time.

-Piss off the taxi driver when we're all drunk piled in the back

-Get a tattoo

-Go to London and never come back

- Go to Spoons and get a pitcher of sex and the beach, but then leave with it.. because I hate Spoons.

-Go to a club and request Swedish House Mafia, Don't You Worry Child for the lols

-Carry a pile of clothes into a changing room, try them all on and buy none of them

-Get complimented by strangers on a night out.

-Learn to drive and buy a car

-Go To Paris and buy clothes from French vintage shops so when People ask where it's from I can say it's vintage from Paris.

-Go to the beach, wear a bikini and not take it off for the next 10 years because it will only go downhill from here.

I encourage you to all to make your own lists and be reminded of the small luxuries in life that we often took for granted. Hang in there guys.
